Sustainable Living Ministry

The mission of the Sustainable Living Ministry is to build awareness about caring for creation, to foster sustainable lifestyles, and to motivate environmental stewardship. New people are always welcome!

GOD’S GARDEN PRODUCE TABLE

May - September. Enjoy the bounty of the season with your fellow church members!  If you have extra veggies, fruit, flowers, plants, jams or honey you would like to share, please do at the “God’s Garden” produce table.  You can also purchase items with a free-will offering. All proceeds are used by the Sustainable Living Ministry to make First-Plymouth a more sustainable place. 

GREENING OUR BUILDING

We are working on greening our building from the ground up.  Please use the recycling and composting bins around the church. We are proud to say that all our tableware is compostable. We continue to work on energy efficiency, water conservation, green purchases, fair trade coffee and environmentally friendly cleaning agents. 

GARDENING COMMITTEE & WORK DAYS

Volunteer to help tend our beautiful church grounds.

DISH DISCIPLES

Dish Disciples helps promote the church to avoid using disposable dishes and silverware. Volunteer to help wash dishes on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.

ELECTRONIC RECYCLING

Date TBD. Watch for details. Help keep old electronics out of the landfill.
