Funeral Information

Our hope is this information will be a helpful guide to help you through this difficult time.

Funerals and memorial services are conducted at First-Plymouth for church members, extended family of church members, and non-members depending on building availability and the schedule of the ministers.  In the event of the death of a loved one, contact Julie MacDonald at 402.476.7565 ext. 245 to check church and minister availability.

Our beautiful Sanctuary can seat approximately 650 people. For smaller services, the Chapel is available and will seat approximately 150 people.  Our ministers are also available to perform off-site services.

Fees

The funeral home generally handles payment details for the family which includes fees for the ministers and musicians in their charges and then paying these charges to the appropriate party.  If the fees for people providing services have not been charged by the funeral home, they should be paid, by separate checks, to the persons providing the services:

Minister: $200

Organist/Pianist: $200

Vocal Soloist: $150-$200 (may vary)

Sound/Building Technician: $75

Additional fee for non-members of First-Plymouth will be applied.

If you wish to show a video during the reception a projector and screen are available in Pilgrim Hall.  We recommend providing the video to our building manager one day prior to the service.  First-Plymouth does not show videos in the Sanctuary or Chapel.
