One goal of the Board for Women’s Ministries is to provide financial assistance to female students pursuing post-secondary (post-high school) education to promote career growth and gain financial independence. We are pleased to announce that the Board will award four $1,000 scholarships in 2019. All scholarships are open to the community (you do not need to be a First-Plymouth member to apply).

Scholarship Descriptions

  • Plymouth Pioneers Scholarship
    - For women who are the first in their family to attend post-secondary education.
    - One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in 2019.

  • Non-Traditional Student Scholarship
    - For women going back to school as adults. Applicants can be first-time students or college graduates attempting a graduate degree.
    - Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2019.

  • Nancy Erickson Scholarship
    For an outstanding female student. All applications received for the Plymouth Pioneers and Non-Traditional Student Scholarships are automatically considered. There is no need for a separate application.
    - One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in 2019.

Applications are available by clicking here or at the First-Plymouth Congregational Church office (2000 D St.).

The deadline for all parts of the application is:  Monday, April 29, 2019. ALL parts of the application must be either post-marked (mail) or received (email) by the deadline.
