Worship & Wisdom
Wed Night Live @ First-Plymouth
Join us at 6:15pm for an innovative combination of a short sermon, lively, rockin’ music, the eucharist and special teachers who will give a “ted-talk like” presentation with Q&A.
AS ONE WE RISE
In Omaha, a church, mosque, and synagogue have all been built on one site to harken to peace among religions and greater peace in our world - the Tri-Faith Initiative. This expression of respect and love between the three Abrahamic traditions is an invitation to developing deeper relationships across ethnic and cultural lines. Countryside UCC - the Christian partner in the Tri-Faith is a sister church to First-Plymouth.
In celebration of the tri-faith and our connection to it, Pastor Elnes, Imam Daoudi, and Amanda Ryan will each discuss what it means to their faith communities why it’s important they are included in the Tri-Faith Initiative of Omaha.
October 16 — Rev. Eric Elnes, Countryside Community Church, UCC Tri-Faith Initiative of Omaha
October 23 — Imam Mohamad Jamal Daoudi, American Muslim Institute, Tri-Faith Initiative of Omaha
October 30 — Amanda Ryan, Tri-Faith Initiative of Omaha, Temple Israel, chair of Young Jewish Omaha
