Mission Statement

The purpose of the Board for Women's Ministries is to provide the women of First-Plymouth Church opportunities to develop relationships with one another, and opportunities for spiritual growth and support; to educate about and to advocate for (when appropriate), the needs of women, children and families; and to provide support and service to individuals and organizations which advance opportunities for women and/or serve women with needs.  The Board also works with and supports, along with other boards and committees, the on-going projects and programs and projects of First-Plymouth Church.

We believe . . .
That we are called
as created beings
to be visible witnesses
to our Creator's presence
in the world
through the unique witness of women.

We are committed . . .
to ministries with women in our church, in our community, and in our world.

We act . . .
through education, advocacy, celebration and outreach

The board for Women's Ministries is composed of 21 women nominated and elected by the congregation at its annual meeting.  Board members are joined by other women of First-Plymouth to develop new ministries and support on-going women's programs.
