We are a group of people who are gay & lesbian, family members,
friends and allies concerned with GLBT issues. Our purpose is to promote
friendship, spiritual growth, and service within First-Plymouth and to the wider
community. Generally, we meet at our church for a potluck and some kind of
program on the second Sunday of each month. Interested folks can participate by
attending one of our events (publicized in “The
Herald”, the church newsletter) and by joining one of our committees.
Committees include:
-
Spirituality: lending spiritual and emotional
support to one another and developing and promoting spiritual growth
opportunities;
-
Study: developing and promoting programming of
interest to members;
-
Service: developing and promoting service and
mission opportunities;
-
Social: planning and coordinating social activities.

A "Night" At The Movies
Plymouth Pride Fellowship will be hosting a viewing of the award
winning movie “For The Bible Tells Me So” Sunday, April 13 at 4:00
p.m., at First-Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln. We’re
providing the hot dogs, popcorn, and soda for that authentic movie
theater experience (without the annoying flying ticket cartoon at
the beginning).
This thought-provoking and uplifting movie explores reconciling
homosexuality and Biblical Scripture by sharing the experiences of
five average Christian American families who have something in
common; a gay, lesbian or bisexual person in their family.
"For The Bible Tells Me So," was first screened in Lincoln at the
Mary Riepma Ross Theatre. For more information about the movie,
visit:

A flyer in .pdf format will be forthcoming, but we want to get
this notice out as far, wide and quickly as possible. Please help us
in passing on this news to others. All LGBT&Q, allies and interested
guests are invited to attend this event, followed by discussion and
sharing. |
