"My art is a celebration of womanhood, courage diversity and empowerment. I believe that mere tolerance is not the answer for most of humankind's problems. We need to infuse a new way of thinking and behaving in order to have a rebirthing which I believe most of us innately crave."
Rachel Smith received her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2002. She currently lives and works in Lincoln, Nebraska with her partner of seven years. Rachel has been a member of Gallery 9 Professional Artists Affiliation since December 2007.
