| NEW COMPACT
DISC to begin the celebration of the 10th anniversary of
the Lied Organ at First-Plymouth Church.
In spring, 2007, our Minister of Music, Dr.
John Cummins, recorded the opening program for this new Pro Organo
CD entitled "BRAVO DOLCE!"
There have been many recordings of this
landmark Schoenstein organ - which, by the way, now celebrates its
10th year - and this organ has also been the subject of many
articles and essays on the topic of symphonic organ design. In this
program, we have a chance to hear the instrument as it renders with
flair and stylistic integrity the music from diverse periods and
styles. From the Age of Bach to the 20th-century, John Cummins shows
that he has both first class virtuoso technique as well as a strong
sense of color in registration.
These will make nice Christmas gifts. They
may be purchased from the Music Office for a donation of $15. A
shipping and handling fee of $3 will be added to those we mail.
Email orders may be directed to
