Rev. Kim Hinrichs, Associate Minister

Originally from Southern California, Kim spent eighteen years in the San Francisco Bay Area before relocating to Lincoln in the summer of 2010. She holds a B.A. in the history of art and visual culture from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and a Master of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley. She was ordained in the Swedenborgian Church in 2003 and holds dual standing in the United Church of Christ. Kim also completed one year of doctoral studies in the field of Christian Spirituality at the
Graduate Theological Union, where she was particularly interested in the intersection of psychology and spirituality.

Kim served on the staff of Pacific School of Religion for over eight years, where her work led her to develop expertise in ministerial formation, online learning and all aspects of theological education. In addition, she has served in pastoral ministry capacities in three Bay Area congregations. Her ministry interests lie in spirituality, ecology, parenting, relationships and theology.

Kim’s husband Bob, a native of Lincoln, works in web development, and together they are the parents of two elementary-aged daughters, Claire and Marielle. Kim’s hobbies include yoga, exercise of all kinds, organic food, exploring the outdoors, reading and writing.
