Pastor Karen Clarke
Animal Ministry, HopeKeepers
Karen was born in Chicago, Illinois and spent most of her professional career in Wisconsin and Minnesota. She joined First-Plymouth in fall, 2008 and became a licensed UCC minister in spring, 2010.
Karen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, holds a mater's degree from Loyola University – Chicago in Religious Studies, and completed certification as a school administrator at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.
Karen leads the Animal Ministry and the HopeKeepers group, teaches several classes each year and serves as an advisor for the Church School. She brings many years of service in Catholic education, her ten years as a Benedictine nun and work in several churches to her work at First-Plymouth. She is a published author, researcher and lyricist. Karen's son John lives and works in Milwaukee, WI. She enjoys writing, reading and is an avid Lincolnophile.
