Rev. Greg Stewart
Minister to Children, Youth, and Families
Ordained in 1996, the Reverend Gregory L. Stewart has served in educational ministry for most of his vocational years. He is the creator of "Way Cool Sunday School: Religious Education As Social Transformation," an experiential approach to religious growth and learning. Says Greg: "The Sunday school classroom doesn't end at the church's threshold; it begins there." A published author, Greg's passion for ministry with young believers has brought him to churches, college campuses, and denominational gatherings across North America to share his vision for transformational and relevant religious education.
Greg and his family--partner Stillman and sons Arthur, Javonte, Dionte, Allen and David--arrived at First-Plymouth in June 2011 and are enjoying the good life in Nebraska, which represents a return for these parents to their midwestern roots after years on the west coast. A voracious reader, Greg also enjoys music, dogs, antique radios and clocks, ethnic eateries and, most of all, spending time with his sons, who have taught him more about God and engendered a greater love for Jesus than any other life experience.
