Our goal is to provide all youth a safe space to talk about and discuss the topics and experiences that pertain to them and where they are on life’s journey. All youth are welcomed and encouraged to participate fully and embrace the inclusive and accepting spirit of Youth Ministries at First-Plymouth. Below is a listing of the activities. Other areas may be added as the year progresses and ideas become action.
Wednesday Nights: On Wednesday nights from 7:30 – 8:30 pm all youth (Freshman through Seniors) are invited to discuss real life issues that must be faced in our world today, such as peer pressure, building character, and dealing with conflict, to name just a few. We also have activities planned throughout the year.
Sunday Discussions: The senior high group (freshman – seniors) meet with Mitch in the Youth Room on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 service for Sunday Discussions, which add depth and discussion to the scripture reading from the week’s sermon.
Social and Fellowship Activities – Throughout the year social and networking activities are planned and sponsored by senior high members. Friends of youth members are always welcome to participate.
Church and Community Service - Youth help in a variety of church activities including:

Christmas Eve 5:00 p.m. - This service is arranged and led entirely by junior and senior high youth and includes readings from the Gospel, youth orchestra and choir.

Easter Processional - Youth lead the long-standing traditional Easter processional with banners and candles at each service.
Mission Trips: Throughout the year youth plan and raise funds for mission trips to help disaster relief, assist those with disabilities and serve the needs of individuals less fortunate. Recent trips include Gulf Port Mississippi, Galveston Texas Hurricane Relief, Biloxi Mississippi and Camp Friendship. The senior high group has two opportunities to participate in summer mission trips that are taken in the summer. We will be going back to Camp Friendship this year as well as traveling to another state to help others in need.
