Way Cool Sunday School for Children and Families at First-Plymouth Church!
Intergenerational Sunday School
Sundays, 9:00 - 10:15 a.m.
Do your children have difficulty sitting still in Sunday school? Does your entire family wish to attend Sunday school together? Maybe your family includes members who have special needs. Or you know teenagers who are losing interest in church. This Sunday school program is designed with all of you in mind! This is a community-based program which often uses the neighborhood as its classroom. An experiential learning model (hands-on!) keeps active learners engaged as we put hands and feet on our faith. A focus on biblically-based social justice transforms the world one person at a time. An approach to our curriculum, Seasons of the Spirit, that asks us to “do” first, and then reflect brings the good news of our faith to life!
What will we be doing? Planting flowers and trees, collecting food, making bag lunches for the homeless, playing pool and cards with seniors, repurposing and painting old chairs, picking up trash, helping neighborhood not-for-profits, playing with purpose!
Each session begins with Way Cool Worship and ends with Way Cool “Coffee” Hour in Mayflower Hall. Come join us! Parents/guardians are very, very welcome! Ages 5-105.

Our K-5 Sunday school program makes the Bible come alive through stories, role plays, improvised rhythm instruments, wire sculptures, nature, chanting, ornament and hat making, poetry, game playing, prayer boxes, sun catchers, mud play, meditation, mazes, play dough, singing, dancing and so much more. Our curriculum, Seasons of the Spirit, engages all five senses to help children explore who they are and Whose they are in light of the good news of a loving God. This is a classroom-based program that meets in age-specific groups. You can be sure that friends are easily made and prayers are eagerly shared.
