Bread for the World Advocacy Workshop

Bread for the World Advocacy Workshop

Did you know, Nebraska is the 15th hungriest state in the country?  One in 7 households struggles to put food on the table.

Poverty is the major cause of hunger.  In Nebraska, hunger is not caused by a scarcity of food, but rather the continued prevalence of poverty.

Bread for the World is a collective, non-partisan Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad.  Find out what legislative bills are being considered in the Nebraska Unicameral to address food insecurity and support for working families.  Learn how to be an effective advocate and make a difference.

First Plymouth Bread for the World Team is sponsoring an Advocacy Workshop, March 10, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Mayflower Hall.  Nebraska Appleseed and Civic Nebraska will be our key resource presenters.  Everyone is invited.
