Narrating our Parenting Journey Together
Wednesdays, September 12-26, 6:45-7:30pm. FREE.
Being a parent can be one of the most rewarding and the most stressful experiences in life. In the midst of our busy lives, we sometimes miss the opportunity to make sense of our parenting experiences with others, often keeping the difficulties to ourselves in favor of sharing the successes. But parenting can be enhanced by being in community with others. In this three-week Wednesday night series, you are invited to participate in a free parenting workshop designed for parents to reflect upon and talk with others about their parenting stories. Each week, we will meet together for one hour in small groups to talk about the highs and lows of parenting. These sessions will be held at First Plymouth Church during weekly Wednesday night programming. This workshop is also a part of a research study we are conducting through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) Department of Communication Studies.
If you would like to participate, please contact Addie Vortherms (firstname.lastname@example.org). She will forward your information on to Dr. Jody Kellas at UNL whose research team will contact you about the time and location of meeting sessions. We look forward to seeing you there!
