Youth GroupsYouth groups at First Plymouth incorporate Bible study and sermon discussion, service to the church and wider community, social and personal interest activities and music programs (both instrumental and vocal). This is a time for youth to become involved in the life of the church and the development of their Christian beliefs in an environment that is nurturing and accepting. For more information on any of the youth programs, contact Jenni Jensen at First-Plymouth, 476-7565. Below is a listing of some of the programs of the Youth Group. Other areas may be added as the year progresses and ideas become action. Sermon Discussion and Bible Study - Every Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the youth room. Christmas Eve 5:00 p.m. Youth Service and Good Friday Stations of the Cross - Both of these services are led by junior and senior high youth. Easter Processional - A long-standing tradition of banners and candles to begin each service. Performed by junior and senior high youth. Acolytes - Junior high youth perform this service at both Sunday morning services. Church and Community Service - Youth help in a variety of church activities such as: Lenten and Advent Workshops, Souper Sunday collection, Crop Walk, Gathering Place service, Preschool evening functions and many more as needs arise. Social - Approximately twice a month there are social (fellowship) activities for 7th and 8th graders. these will be planned by the youth and announced throughout the year. Retreat - The fall 7th and 8th grade retreat to Timberlake Ranch Camps has always been a great deal of fun and a wonderful time to meet new friends. This year's is scheduled for Sept. 21st and 22nd.
