Handel’s Messiah and Dixit Dominus
Sun | Nov 27 | 3:00pm

Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season, and Thanksgiving Sunday brings Lincoln’s annual performance of George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. This tradition continues in 2016 with Abendmusik’s newly appointed chamber choir in residence, sounding light. Conducted by Tom Trenney and accompanied by Abendmusik’s chamber orchestra, sounding light will also perform Handel’s rarely performed masterwork, Dixit Dominus. For the grand finale, the audience will be invited to join in singing the heroic “Hallelujah” Chorus.
